db1 Prof. Dhrubes Biswas (Chief Mentor) He is an internationally recognized expert in radio frequency integrated circuits (RFIC) and in technology ventures in Wireless Electronics, Cellular Phone Systems, communication related RFICs. He is permanently based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, while currently operating out of Kolkata, India. He is currently in India on invitation of the Government to assist in setting up entrepreneurial hi-tech ventures in Technology Inspired Products and Services, Information Technology and Electronics, Rural Development and provide vision towards a robust/sustainable Indian High Technology Manufacturing & Services industry. Selected in Who’s Who in Science and Engineering (1997), Who’s Who in America (1999) Who’s Who in the World (1999), Man of the Year 1999 (in Technology) and 2000 Outstanding Scientists of the 20th Century, he has played an instrumental role in the formation of 7 companies. Currently he is Advisor to Government of West Bengal, INDIA on policies/Information Technology.

Dr. Kalyan K. Guin(Marketing Expert) He is one of the key people involved closely with the formation and functioning of SSE. He is presently the Associate Dean of Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM) and an author of numerous technical papers. He has been an alumni of IIT-Kharagpur and has also been a fellow of IIM-Bangalore. He brings with him a vast amount of experience and excellence during his tenure with the corporate sector.

Dr K D Raju (IPR and Law Expert)

Dr. Raju was graduated from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala in Science with specialization in Botany in 1990. After graduating from law school in 1997, Raju joined in Ernakulam Bar. He completed his post graduation in Mercantile Law from the same University, where his thesis was dealing with The Fiduciary Duties of Company Directors under the Indian Companies Act, 1956, and he secured second rank in the University. He has done MPhil from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi on International Trade Law. He worked on Anti-dumping issues for his doctoral studies in Jawaharlal Nehru University,New Delhi. He has been awarded “Fulbright Scholarship” by the United States Education Foundation in India (USEFI) for completing his doctoral study in the US. He is presently Assistant Professor at Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. His areas of interest and expertise include the WTO, especially Intellectual Property Laws, Anti-dumping Laws, WTO Services Agreement, Corporate, Environmental, Economic and Trade Laws. He has spoken on these themes at various conferences and also published papers in leading journals such as the Journal of Bio-Law and Business, Journal of Intellectual Property, Indian Journal of International Law and contributor to many books. He is the author of “Intellectual Property Laws in India” and Editor of “The World Trade Organization and India: A Critical Study of Its first Decade and has recently been edited a book on Genetically Modified Organisms: Emerging International Law and Policy, published by the TERI Press, New Delhi .

 

Mr.Soumen Chakravarty He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chicago based company, INTELLISYS having major operations in India and abroad. He has played an instrumental role in assisting IIT in conducting various entrepreneurship related events, by way of financial and moral support. He has a broad vision to assist SSE in assuming a major role in propagating entrepreneurial activities in various domains of EEEH with prominence in education.

Vikram Kumar (BTech in Industrial Engineering and Management, IIT, Kharagpur) A B-Tech pass-out of IIT-Kharagpur and having a good background in computers, he is looking after the technical operations of SSE. He is also the Founder and CEO of DataResolve Technologies, a private company working in the domain of data security and Data Leakage Prevention. His company has received good amount of funding from government agencies and is the first company with Indian Base working in this domain.

 

Shwetank Jain (BTech in Electrical Engineering, IIT, Kharagpur) Presently the CEO of SSE, he is an alumni of IIT-Kharagpur and has founded the P2P Power, a Power Quality company having won numerous funding for scale-up from government agencies like TEPP and TIETS.

Mr Subhash Chandra Santara :Mr Santara is an ex bank manager of PNB and brings in immense experience for SSE team. He is presently coordinating the activities for the smooth functioning of SSE and is an expert in bringing the benefits of business networking and management for its synchronous functioning into a common meeting ground

 

Mr Arunangshu Bhunia : He has brought with him an immense level of experience in administrative matters having successfully implemented the operational duties assigned to him by the company. He is presently handling the management related activities of STEP along with assisting SSE in its day to day activities.

Ms Amrita (MBA, Vinod Gupta School of Management) : She having a B-Tech degree in computer sciences is presently the Senior Project Officer at SRIC, assisting SSE in her individual capacity in various management related, concept writing, operations and Strategy of SSE by way of her management background at VGSOM.

Punit Saurabh (PHD, Entrepreneurship ) :A research scholar from the famous Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM) pursuing his Doctorate in Entrepreneurship, he is keenly involved in assisting SSE with the concept writing, management operations and conceptual part.

 

 

 

The group is also assisted by the students and faculty of IIT-Kharagpur who are convinced that the initiative will one day sow the seeds to a latent social reawakening in the society. All the decisions regarding the company is taken in keeping with the ethos of the society. The business model followed by SSE has been seconded by the leading luminaries in the field of entrepreneurship, like Prof Ikhalaq Sidhu (University of California, Berkeley) Neerja Raman (Reuter’s Foundation, Stanford University) and Dipankar Chokroborty (University of Colorado). The process of mentoring is still continuing neverthelessly. The program paved the way for grass root entrepreneurs to build up an entrepreneurial culture in there society and infuse business thoughts among them. E-turn provides solutions to every aspect of day-to-day life. The idea comes out from e-business, but broadens to a multi-dimensional approach.
